Our Story
Tony Wong Place, named to honour the late Regional Councillor, Tony Wong, a strong advocate for affordable housing, provides 120 safe, affordable housing units for individuals, families and seniors who are living with lower incomes.
There are 56 one bedroom, 26 two, 30 three and 8 four bedroom apartments. Four units are designed to meet the needs of persons with physical disabilities. All are non-smoking units.
East Markham Non-Profit Homes (EMNPH) is a non-profit housing corporation in Markham. It was sponsored by the Markham Interchurch Committee for Affordable Housing (MICAH) and made possible by funding from the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program (AHP), the Region of York, the City of Markham and member churches.
EMNPH is run by a volunteer Board of Directors with members from the community.

Conveniently located at Deverill Court in the northwest section of Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue.

MICAH was established in 1988 as an affiliation of Markham churches from the United, Anglican, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and Mennonite traditions.
